    I have made new screen bottom boards for my three hives this year so I will see how the bees do with them this year. Predictions are a normal to heavy snow fall this year, unlike last year. We are most definitely getting the moisture in the fall this year.

    Steve, I think that's a great idea. One of my mentors says it's always an experiment, anyway. I've been convinced with top entrances for winter recently due to the Beesource study recently. With q bottom and top entrance you'd have ventillation. Would seem to me it might be best to have solid bottoms in that scenario. Sounds like I have a couple experiments on my hands this winter!
