I thought I better close up some gaps on the log hive before the rainy season starts. I haven't taken any honey from the bees or used any miticides, and I don't plan to provide any food. So now comes the real test...will they make it through the winter? I'll be really happy if they throw a swarm in the spring. With any luck I'll have another hive waiting to be filled.
