A pound of honey, including the container?

I was filling a few glass jars this morning and realized that I am filling them right to the very top in order to get a pound. Sometimes it gets a bit tricky to keep it from overfilling. When you, sell a pound of honey does that include the weight of the container? I have been, "zeroing" my scale first with the container on it and then filling the conatiners with 1 pound of honey. I assume this is how I should be doing it. Thanks, juzzerbee

The weight as shown on the jar label is "net weight", which means that it does not include the weight of the jar. But there is nothing that says you must put 16 oz in the jars you already have. You could put, for instance, 15 oz in each jar, as long as the label also says 15 oz.
