New member from Tasmania, Australia.
Hi!
I'm new here and to the whole world of bees. I, personally don't have any, nor have any plans to obtain any. However, I am in close contact with a guy who does/is looking after his fathers bees. I get to tag along and enjoy myself. Please don't hold it against me!
I've joined this site in the hopes of learning more, to add to what I am learning in the field. Its a whole other world out there. I may ask questions, but for the most part I am here to read and learn.
The bees I associate with are in the north of the state, and currently are in a sheep paddock among a stand of hawthorn.
cheers,
perigrine

perigrine, beekeeping is infectious, do not be surprised if you end up with a hive one day soon, welcome to the site.

Re: New member from Tasmania, Australia.
Glad to see you, perigrine! The Tasmanian Beekeepers Association website says that there is a field day being held tomorrow by the North branch. If you are interested, you might like to give Maxine a call for more information. She is the secretary of the TBA; a friendly, cheerful lady who has been very helpful towards me. http://tasmanianbeekeepers.org.au/
