Checked on the hive around noon today at the peak temp of 52. Many were flying and coming in with pollen loads. Checked later this after noon when the sun went into the clouds and temp dropped a little. Found several bees on top cover sitting there, picked them off and put them at the entrance, they were moving really slow.

80 degrees the last few days, last night it dropped down to 42. Tonight in mid 30's. Sunday night low 30's.

It was amazing to see how cold blooded the girls actually are.

Today's high...33. Tonight's low...17. No, the girls don't like it. Neither do I. They haven't flown in three or better days. It's cold, cloudy and we had our first snow starting yesterday. Not a lot but enough to put an end to foraging. They are tucked in and kissed good winter and I have my fingers crossed. Hope your weather improves in the next few days. We don't get any better till after Tuesday.
