I am using a top only entrance, using a cover shimmed 3/8". I plan to reduce the entrance to 1" wide for the winter. Does anyone use mouse guards for their top entrances? Or had mice get in through a top entrance?

I've had no trouble with mice getting in a 3/8 high opening.
Are you screening the bottom entrance opening? Thinking of inlet air???? Round holes in fronts of supers???????
If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got!
The bottom entrance is blocked, but I have an SBB. I was planning to pull the tray out a little bit for ventilation.

Mice like the landing strip to start the attack from. Raise it up and they move on.
