Refractometer help

I found a local place that can order me a refractometer and i have a link to the one i think i want, but i don't know if it can be used for Honey ?

Those are the wrong end of the scale. An analogy would be that they appear to measure how much sugar (and other things) in water. You want one that measures how much water in the sugar. So you want to be able to measure 17% water rather than 17% sugar.

From what I've seen, most companies will have one specifically made for honey moisture content.

I know everyone has their favorite and you did not ask but...
I recently went through purchasing a refractometer and after returning one I gam going to keep the one from Blue Sky. It has only one scale and that one scale measures water in honey and that scale has 10 divisions between each whole precentage. I have been pleased with it. It is still hard to read to the tenth of a percent but not dificult to read to a two tenths of a percent.
A lot of refractometers have only a single line for each whole precentage with no divisions inbetween.

i am having a hard time deciding what one to get, the blue sky one will be a bit over 100 bucks according to the shopping cart price, hopefully it includes customs /brokerage if there is any on it ?

But i contacted a canadian supplier Ancansco they sell one for 120 bucks plus shipping and it is the same one from beemaid, but beemaid sells it for 160 bucks plus shipping.
the model /part number is KZHO 100ATC the seller tells me it reads 13-25 % moisture and has a +/-0.1 % accuracy rate.

Ancansco most likely has a good one and they sound like a reputable company.
One other item, some refractometers use oil for calibration, if it does make sure they also sell the oil separately in case you need more in the future.

This is a nice refractometer for the money. It does everything you need for honey. I have used other ones that did not have the 2 tenths scale; just whole numbers so you had to estimate to the tenth which is a pain!
