Know I have read this but can't find the information... Anyone know the volume of semen that a queen is given? Was looking at mico pipets and needed to know the vulume range I should be looking at...

Danmcm,

We use 50ul or 100ul tubes.

The narrower the tube's diameter, the more sperm shearing you're going to get, making less total viable sperm available for migration.
Depending on the function of the cross, we'll give queens 8-12 ul of semen per insemination.
