Remove Supers now or Wait?

It's getting cooler here by the day. I really want to make my first ( kinda like opening a Christmas Present ) harvest but time constraints will prevent me from extracting for about 10 days. Can I remove the supers and store or should I wait until can I do the job in an uninterrupted fashion? memtb

I would wait until you can extract. I took two honey frames out this year to give to a planned split. I sat them in my back bedroom and about 3 days later I saw wax moth larva starting to crawl around. I killed the few I saw and changed plans to make the split sooner rather than later.
