Half Frame - Mating Frame dimentions

I am curious what is the length of the top bar on a mating half frame? It is 9 1/8?

If using a standard box and dividing in 4 compartments cut the just a smidge under 9 3/8 long top Bar and 9 1/8 Deep end bar. That way you can just use a dressed 1" divider which is only 3/4" and they will not come off the lip

9 3/8" for super shell with 3/4" Divider. If using 5 Quarter board for divider you might want 9 1/4" top bar

What might be best make up your supers with dividers and make sure you have them centered then do your measurement. Some of the super shell that you buy may very in length
I use dadants and I think they come from western bee supplies

I just buy a bundle of 100 frames then buy 2 extra bundles of end bars this will make you 200 1/2 frames. Cut these to proper length and rework the top bar end and the bottom bar end.
