    Default Fogger recipe/pros & cons/do's & don'ts?

I had considered doing a Thymol fogging treatment w/mineral oil.

After an email conversation w/M.Bush I have decided not to use Thymol.

Can anyone post a mixture ratio using 99.9% mineral oil. I bought it @ Wal-Mart. I think it's a pint. not sure how many hives I can treat.

Pros/cons, do's & don'ts would be appreciated. I have searched the forums & have not found recent posts/conversations about it.

Post a link to the best conversations about fogging please. Thanks.

I'm interested also. Why did you decide to leave out the thymol? Was it thymol or thyme oil?

watched the vid 3 times, no mention of mixing M. Oil. I love Don, his 15 second is more like 3... 12" is about 4. Love your vids Don!

Michael Bush wrote me something about the Thymol messin w/the microbial enviroment. I would like him or Dean to take up this conversation.

FWIW, I have recently read where mineral oil fogging was a phase that is outside mainstream beekeeping now; meaning, it was popular for a while yet its efficacy has not been proven. It is definitely not in the mainstream.

Oxalic acid vaporizing is another issue under development. Who knows where this journey will end.

    "Do's and don'ts"

I do have a fogger, but I don't use it. Never did.

If you're not diluting thymol crystals in grain alcohol, and adding that to the fgmo, there is no mixing required. At least that's my understanding.

I believe the use of foggers declined about four or five years ago.
