Default Bees swarm to an open box

My father just got a call to a yard where a discarded deep was sitting one-corner-down in an empty shallow out in the tall grass and weather. No lid. No bottom. 8 old combs in it though. Wouldn't make it through a Vermont winter, but does show the attractive power of combs to swarming bees.

...and yes, I have seen the more-amazing Odfrank's post about the swarm in the empty box. I know this doesn't compete. Still interesting.

I don't care if you have a competitive story, as long as Charlie B doesn't try to out do me.

You lead in swarms gained, and Charlie leads in shots taken. I heard a rumor that CharlieB might find his way out to Nova Scotia next year. Perhaps I'll get to hear him take some shots at you in person...
