A combination of talks and hive visits to expand your knowledge of bees and beekeeping after your first season of bees. Registration is $125 per person or $200 per couple/partners and includes breaks, lunch, and one copy of Dr. Connor' newest book, Bee-sentials: A Field Guide or one of his other titles.

Emphasis will focus on issues facing the not-quite new beekeeper. We will review some of the biology of bees and bee pests useful to successful beekeepers. The use of nucs and home-reared queens will be reviewed. Plenty of time will be given over to questions from participants.

All participants are requested to wear a bee veil during the hive visits.
