Default Bees and Equipment for Sale (Foundationless and Chemical Free)

I’m going to Africa for the Peace Corps in February. I’m looking to sell my 15 hives.

12 hives have new Italian Queens that were started from packages this spring. Asking $225 for each of these.

3 Survivor hives have at least 2nd generation queens (original queens either Italian or BeeWeaver). Asking $275 for each of these.

All hives are 8 frame, 3 medium supers per hive, foundationless, chemical free, have screened bottom board and have various tops (mainly migratory covers). All woodenware are a mix of painted and unpainted, but less than 2 years old. I haven't harvested any honey this year, so all hives should have enough to

Offers accepted (especially on the whole lot). Feel free to schedule a visit to take a look at them. I can provide pictures if you email me. If you purchase all of them, then I’ll throw in any extra supers, frames, tops, and bottoms I have. I’ll help load the hives when you pick them up in Blacksburg, VA. Email preferred (scottr2012@gmail.com), but other contact information is listed below.

Couldn't edit the post, but need to edit the prices:

    $170 for the Italian hives
    $195 for the survivor hives

I'd keep the bees, but won't have any place to keep them when I get back. Need to sell these bees ASAP, so I'm open to ANY reasonable offer.

Wish I lived closer but it would be a nine hour round trip.

Hi. Good for you for doing Peace Corps. Are the 3 supers fairly much all drawn comb and as you indicate, more full than not? Do you have a varroa count (or did you treat) ? Are they fairly near Blacksburg?

Just a note for those of you considering buying Scott's bees/hives...
I recently bought his observation hive, and not only was it was in better condition than advertised, he communicated clearly and consistently throughout the process - seems to be a stand-up guy and I wouldn't hesitate to buy something from him again. If it weren't a 10 hour drive each way, I might consider buying his bees

Glad it worked out well for you rlsiv. I have not had a reply to the message I sent a week ago and don't see a response to RudyT's questions.

Are the hives still available? I am about 45 minutes away and would be interested. You can reply or private message me.
