    Default Fish bait

Currently have a bumper crop of drone brood in my hives and would like to remove the larvae and use for bluegill bait.
I can pick them out of the cells with a toothpick (anybody know a better way?) but don't know how to keep them. I would assume they go bad in an hour or so in summer heat plus would prefer some instruction/links on long term preserving so I can be supplied this fall and maybe in the spring.
    TIA
    Mike
