Keeping Bees out after cut out
Does anyone know of anything you can spray of in an area after doing a cutout in a building so the bees wont try to come back in. I will be doing a cut out tomorrow in a celling and have informed the owners of the building to fill the arear with installation and seal up the holes from the outside. They still would like to try spraying something also.

I have had good luck spraying the area with Kilz after all the comb is removed. I think the Kilz will hide the scent.

Always fill the void where the hive was with something. I use insulation, or hay.

I use the Great Stuff expanding foam in a can. Just a few dollars and it'll fill a huge area, enveloping everything that was in there.Originally Posted by scrapiron

Other than filling the void with insulation, I often spray pruning spray ( stuff used on trees ) and it seems to cover any scent left by the bees.
