    Try looking for a local apiary and see if you can pick one up from them. You won't have to pay shipping and you can get it same-day. I've heard people still have them this late.

    Many of us are still raising queens all year long. Montana has a lot beekeepers. I agree, check locally for queens.

    If you can't find one, your bees will most likely raise one of their own.

    If you can't find a local beek with an extra queen. Try Koehnen, Strachan, or Wootens. I've gotten some nice queens from all of them. Just bought some italian queens from Koehnen a few weeks ago and all five are doing great.
    Just my 2 cents but don't let them raise their own queen this late in the season. Our season is getting too short for that!

    We have a queen coming. Thanks everyone for the info and help. Now if we can just get her into the hive without messing up.....;-)
