Never tried it to control SHB, however, I know for a fact that Permethrin is highly toxic to bees.

It is the main ingredient for "Gaurdstar" that is supposed to be for SHB control. It is very much cheaper as "Permethrin 10". Just wondered if anyone has tried it.

I've used it under my hives on stands it seems to help.
I bought 35% and mixed as needed much cheaper.
Recently had a slime out and went back to spray around and under the pallet to kill the larvae that were everywhere. I'm sure it helped there.
