Ants

Been feeding my weaker hive with a boardman feeder which was a problem because my stronger hive was robbing, also they would suck it dry in a few hours. Decided to get a top feeding, started using it yesterday morning check it before dark and notice a lot of small ants all over it. My question is, are the ant a threat to my hive? Have not seen any inside just the outside think there is a small leak in one corner of the feeder.

As soon as my entrance feeder is empty, the ants just swarm in there to clean any thing up. I just had to keep some syrup in it all the time, so the bees would keep the ants out. I don't feed now so it's not a problem anymore. I wouldn't worry about it.
