I'm maybe two bars short of where I'd like to be honey wise and we're in a dearth. To avoid them using the honey stores for food and to build up the stores, I plan on feeding them syrup. My first though is that next year's honey would be diluted by the stored syrup, but I'm guessing both the stored honey and syrup will be gone (hopefully) at the beginning of the spring flow. That sound correct?
Then in the spring (they will probably be up and moving before the first nectar flow), I'll feed again. Now, will I have a problem of stored syrup affecting the taste of the stored honey come harvest time? - Mike
