well they aren't perfect, but they were cheap !! i used thick card stock 8'' X 11" put it in the printer and microsoft office helped with the stencil letters ect. put a bee outline on the top of the farm name and cut it out with an exacto knife. went to the dollar store and picked up a self adhesive lamination covering for the stencil and recut it and this is what came out.

Well done - I did something similar, not as neat ( limited patients!) using an old X-ray film rather then card . It works.

Looks really good.

Very good for honest people who may want to identify your hives for some reason. A new paint job or sanding will remove your branding.

If you want to stand a chance of recovering your hives from less than honest people, and indent gives you a better chance; hence branding with a hot iron or routing.

It is very pretty, but I have a suggestion. You can go into the craft store and get uncut plastic for stenciling. The have two types, the mylar (not so good for your job) and blue plastic. These clean up nicely (oven cleaner spray works wonders on the thoroughest stuff) and last for a while. I'm actually going to make some for myself.
