Default any advise on where to buy a queen for new england hives

like the title says, we need a queen. located in ct so hoping for something of a northern queen.

we had the hive make queen cells but it looks like she failed to mate or come home as there are no eggs.

thanks in advance for your recommendations.

You could also try Rollie Hannon http://www.honeymeadowsfarm.com/

    or Gilman Mucaj http://www.ctbees.com/contact.htm

Have you located a source yet?
I am in the Danbury area, and have extra queens. I recently started re-queening some of my hives with the daughters of a VSH breeder queen. I purchased the breeder from Glenn Apiaries in early June. So I have either VSH that are open mated with drone stock in this area, or this years queens that were pulled out of the hives to make way for the new VSH.
Let me know if you are interested

Yes I love my Gilman nucs. 1 is doing great. 1 is queen less but still hanging on. A package we bought is pulling up the rear but didn't get that from Gilman.

Capt Jack I too got Gilman bees. I'm in Vernon.
I got some Full Bloom Queens yesterday and not only did Alan spend some time with me on the phone on how best to add the queens. He even MARKS them!!!

His Carns seem slightly different then Gilman's, they seem darker. I actually had a few bees landing on the box while I was waiting to put them in so I could see the contrast.

Awesome. Be we're able to get a queen from billlbee. I think we are going to try his vsh queens to requeen 1 hive that isn't doing too hot.
