Default Where to Get Beekeeping Supplies in Houston, Texas

Anyone know of any retailers, or individuals that manufacture woodenware/equipment in the Houston area?

More importantly I am looking for lemongrass oil. Anyone know where to get it retail other than online? Hobby Lobby maybe? I've never shopped for it before, so I wouldn't even know where to begin. But I'm looking at doing a cutout this weekend from the wall of a house and would like to have some for the new hive that will be set outside for the returning foragers. Thanks.

here in Ft. worth we have a health food store that carries lemongrass oil and a bunch of others. I would assume ya'll have one down there that does too.

Called Hobby Lobby, and they do have it! They said it was $7 for a "very little" bottle, which is understandable. I think that is probably a pretty reasonable price.

Also found it at a local health food store called "Natural Kitchen" in Kingwood, TX for those that live around NE Houston. She said it was $6 for a 1 oz bottle.

I got my lemongrass oil at Hobby Lobby, too. It was $6.95 for a one ounce bottle. But, since it only takes one drop in a hive box, this bottle should last forever! LOL! Go online and print the 40% off coupon, and you will get an ever better deal!
This is the very best place to get your beekeeping supplies from: http://www.wabashfeed.com/
They have everything from frames to hive boxes, to foundation for the frames, hardware, smoker fuel, etc. And they are SUPER nice and helpful. I love them.

I found lemongrass oil at Natural Grocers Vitamin Cottage.

I know of four different bee supply companies in that area:

    Houston, TX 77054
    (713) 714-4200

    Bayou City Bees
    Houston TX, 77057
    (713) 392-3414

    Brady Bees & Honey
    2610 Newman St.
    Liberty, TX 77575
    (936) 336-9783

    Troy Fischer Farm
    P.O. Box 1109
    Winnie, TX 77665
    (409) 296-4188

    Hope this helps!
