    Default Homebuilt Section?

I was just thinking it may be interesting to have a section for homemade bee equipment like extractors etc.

I am building a pair of extractors, an eight frame and a 24 frame, having a great time figuring out how to make things work, I have built all of my own equipment and have sold quite a bit too. I tell my wife that doing all this stuff keeps me out of the bars, lol.

Perhaps you missed the Build it Yourself area of Beesource, here:
    http://www.beesource.com/build-it-yourself/
That section includes several plans for extractors.

I recently saw where someone used the motor from a treadmill on their homemade extractor.

There are several threads on Beesource about using motors from treadmills to power extractors, both homemade or commercial extractors. Here's a recent one:

And when I saw a "malfunctioning treadmill" recently offered for free on Craigslist, I went for it. I have salvaged a perfectly good variable speed motor and control system. It even has an RPM counter available. Now for the next steps ....
