Nectar Flow Still in WI
Are you guys still seeing a good nectar flow in WI or is it winding down already?

Re: Nectar Flow Still in WI
Hit or miss down here. We're bone dry with the last measurable rain over three weeks ago. Hives in some places doing well still while others are losing weight. Seem to be the hives in semi-urban areas that are doing the best right now. I've been wondering if it is because of gardens and watering.

Re: Nectar Flow Still in WI
I am no where near WI, but to my surprise I pulled a medium deep of capped honey off of my hives today. I wasn't expecting to see that much capped since it has bee between 90 - 100 degrees every day with no rain for over a month here in South / Central Indiana. These frames weren't full and capped a week and a half ago. But as geebob stated it may be because I am in a semi urban area. I don't have much in blossom other than echinacea, but I'm sure there must be more avid gardeners around me. If they fly a 3 mile radius they have the whole town covered.
