Does anyone do this and freeze it? I know that you can collect pollen pretty easily from certain trees and things like cattails at the right time - would it be ok to freeze that and save it for the bees in case they need it later?

I have never fed it back to my bees but I do freeze mine.

When you trap pollen, and i do, you have to realize that honey production will suffer and if you take too much pollen, especially early in the season, that brood rearing will suffer. But do freeze it for later use. 15% pollen mixed into dry commercial pollen sub makes great spring feed for buildup
