If nothing else is available, it probably will.

Pumpkins here bloom in late July til end of August when there is not much else around. I have hives on two pumpkin patches and they do OK for that time of year. The pumpkins seem to keep them from going backwards in the driest time of the year. I put the hives on the edge of the fields, if the bees want to do them they can, if there is something else around they can go to that. If you put your bees in the middle of 10,000 acres they may not do so well.
We always had to feed ours when they were on pumpkins.
