    Default Split Questions

I have 2 hives that are going strong, I am thinking of doing a split to make a 3rd hive. My question is can I take 2 frames of broad-eggs, bees on frames, and 2 frames of stores from each hive and combine them in a deep. Add a queen and let them go. Will the bees fight due to them being from 2 different hives or will they be ok? Also when is the latest time frame to due such a hive and still be able to have them ready for winter in Pa?

You can do this,,as I understand it nurse bees will not fight. I would however try to have the hive make it's own queen. Unless you can get one soon. Let the split go with out a queen for at least 24 hours before you add a queen.
