placement of TBH to others?

Are there any problems with placing a TBH too close to the other 8 hives? Trying to decide where to put it....thank you..

It's just another box. So no reason why it couldn't be put next to other hives.

Cheek to jowl close or stacked on top close it won't make much difference. But, you might like some space to work around all sides of your hives.

If you look at Egyptian hives, those in clay tiles, they are stacked up like cord wood. If you look at Commercial migratory beekeeping operations their hives are on 4way pallets two facing opposite another two, but less than an inch away from its next door neighbor.

Do what is best for you, the bees won't mind.

I have my other hives 3' apart and it works great.. Wasn't sure about the new TBH --they seem a little 'weak' when they are first starting out I was worried about robbing.

If you are worried about robbing, then being in the same yard is too close. Reduce entrance to control robbing.
