My bees swarmed and landed in a tree too high to reach on a ladder. The tree was small so I got a chainsaw and cut it down. Bees walked right in. Here is a video of when they were 90% in.

Wow! I guess if you have more trees than you want that'll work. I dunno that I'd kill a tree over a swarm. Consider using a queen includer or relocating the colony... ones that I hive next to their parent seem to want to get happy feet sometimes.
