bees stopped foraging in one hive
I have two hives from april first packages. Both hives have done very well. Both yellow marked queens are still in the hive. 3 weeks ago one hive just stopped foraging and orienting like the hive next to it. There is some minor activity but nothing like the hive right next to it with very high foraging and orienting every day.
Could the queen just be slowing down or sent a signal to tell the workers to stop foraging?
Everything in the hive looks healthy. The brood pattern is good plenty of stores. I noticed lots of cleaned and polished cells without eggs.
Any thoughts as to the difference between these two hives would be appreciated.
Thanks
