    Default Burr Comb?

This may be a simple question but why do we remove Burr Comb?

Cos if you don't and they put brood and honey in it, it makes a real mess when you have to remove frames during an inspection. Not only a real mess but also the spilled honey can create robbing situations from other hives.

i dont worry about it unless it gets in the way of my pollen pattys or causes frames to sit funny... they are going to build it right back anyway... i consider it the bee highway from top to bottom...

yes peter is correct it can cause those things, but i never see enough honey in my (might see drone brood) to cause any robbing issues... mostly its just dry etc for some drone brood...

I only remove it when I have to start twisting boxes off each other and when honey starts dripping into the frames.
