What is the stuff on my bee jacket?

During my last inspection, I got covered in quite a few bees. After walking away, and shaking the last of the bees off my jacket, I noticed what looked like (what I can only describe as) "Bee Turds". It is a tubular substance, greenish/yellowish/brownish. I brushed it off, but a yellow stain was left behind.

What is this stuff?

Maybe relevant, maybe not: it was a bit cool for inspection that day, and there were a lot of bees in the hive. They were more interested in me than usual.

Yep, sounds like poop....

Huh... guess that tells me what they thought of the inspection.

Cracking the hive must have triggered cleansing flights. Never actually seen a bee turd prior to that.

Removing attendant bees from queen cages should not be done indoors ...
