Plastic Triangular Escape Screen....

Do the escape screens you place between honey filled boxes and brood boxes really work or are they just toys? I am intrigued that they let the bees travel down out of the honey area but the bees cannot get back up thus clearing the boxes for removal. If they do work how long do you have to leave them on before the honey boxes are relatively clear of bees? Hours, days....weeks? Thanks...

Not sure what you mean by plastic escape screen but if you are referring to one of these http://www.brushymountainbeefarm.com...oductinfo/774/ then yes they work, takes two days. Works best when it gets cool in the evening.
