We are a small mom and pop, we wake up at 5:00 to begin filling orders and don't quit until after 7:00 most nights. For the majority of the year, we work 7 days a week. We work hard to provide the best prices and service, so we can compete with the "big guys" that pull in millions a year. It's not easy--but, we LOVE beekeeping and supporting beekeepers. This grant would allow us to hire folks to answer the phones and assist in filling orders--something we have not been able to do. WE WILL CREATE JOBS with this grant and not use it to line our pockets.

Did the vote. I'm as small a business as you can get, a one man blacksmith shop (with hives behind). I appreciate small business and support a small local Art gallery by selling my stuff through them, even commissions, which I could sell out of shop, go to the gallery for pick-up so they get the commission, so they can stay open, so they are there for me, win - win.

I suppose that some of you are worried that if you vote you will start getting spammed with offers to buy food processors or something. I voted several days ago and nothing like that has happened.
No phone calls. no e-mails. not even a sales rep knocking at my door.

For anyone that wanted to vote but got confused. Here is a step by step as well as I can do it.

Click on the link to the contest. Scroll to bottom of page and click on "Log in and Support" it will let you log in using face book. all this does is uses information you have already put on facebook to get you on this site. This will bring you to a page that says among other things. "Thanks for supporting Small Businesses" You are not done yet. Scroll to the bottom of that page and you will see a box labeled "Business Name" put the Blue Sky Bee Supply in that box. Next to that box is one labeled State. click on it to see a menu and select Ohio. then click Search. This will take you to yet another page. scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see Blue Sky Bee Supply and the number of votes they have. next to that is a button that you click to vote for them. You are now done.
