    I seriously doubt that you can pull a car with 6 foundation wires. Your are an ME. Why dont you give us some gage sizes and tensile strengths to back that claim up? Mind you, we are talking about common foundation wire here, not aircraft cable.

    Measured wire from BetterBee frame is .018 dia.

    .009^2 * 3.1426 * 6 * 147,000 = 224 pounds
    More than enough to pull an average car these days.

    I have had them break.
    Most likely where they are bent at 90 under the wedge. I suspect this is done where they make the foundation so the hard wire is bent cold (causes fractures). If the tip of the wire was annealed prior to bending it would not break. They have probably been doing this over 100 years with the beekeeper accepting the fall out so there is no concern to do it right.
