I finally get it!
Okay, let me start with saying I'm posting this for the benefit of other new Beekeepers who feel like I have for the last month (I'm guessing that's a lot). I've spent a lot of my first month of keeping bees fretting and worrying about every little thing I've done. I saw a statement that to new beeks everything looks like a problem, and didn't think I'd be like that, but here we are. I've read everything I could get my hands on and spent a lot of time on this forum (I am very grateful for this forum, BTW).
Some one here (not sure who) had a post that offered advice to new beeks then followed up by saying "and remember, they're just a bunch of bugs!" I didn't get it then, but yesterday I after getting worked up about how what I wanted to do was going to affect the bees it finally hit me! All time I've been fretting and worrying, I've been the only one so concerned. My bees certainly weren't. They've been busily working, oblivious my concern; some decisions I make may cause them to go about their business more slowly, or more quickly, some they may like, or not so much. Not the end of the world. But instead of fretting about what I'm doing, from here on out, I'm going to just watch how my ladies work and listen to what they are telling me they prefer.
Wow that's a burden off my shoulders!
