Could be, but to me it's really not a big deal. All marketing is suspect. I'd say honey sold by the Amish is "Amish Honey" as much as furniture made from purchased wood is "Amish Furniture". I still have a problem with a bunch of redneck carpenters working for an Amish guy as "Amish Builders" but that's just me.
For those who care, there's nothing better than a "How do you know it's local honey if you don't know the beekeeper?" sticker.
