    Default Hello From Haslet, TX

Hi I am John from Haslet Texas my son Sam got intrested in bee's over the winter so we bought two hives this spring and he talked the neighbor across the street into buying two as well. however the neighbor has horses so we have his bees here too. This is a learning experiance for all as the extent of our experiane is buying the little bear from Kroger's. But now we have all been stung at least once and call ourselves beekeepers. lol

    Thumbs Up Hello John :)

I've been to the Metrobeekeepers meeting in Burleson, you may enjoy them, I did. Their president, Stan Key, is knowledgable and willing to help, they may have a mentor for you. There is a club in Dallas too. We are between Granbury and Cleburne (Pecan Plantation) if you want to stop and visit.

    Welcome John
If you've all already been stung, the worst is over.
If you're wanting to get with a bee club, there is Metrobeekeepers in south Dallas,
and Collin County Hobby Beekeepers up in McKinney.

Hello John and Sam! I am from Richardson, TX and this will be my first full year as a beekeeper also.

There is a lot of good information on here in the forums and through the chat room. Also, I recommend you read, The Hive and the Honey Bee a lot. Any questions that you think of when doing your reading or after working your bees you can ask them on here in the forum and chat room. Welcome and good luck!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! We had contacted Stan from metrobeekeepers about the May meeting but I was starting a new semester at xchool on the same day and came home shot and beggeed off of it with a view of going in June.
