    Default grey honey?

These are frames from a nuc I received a couple of weeks ago. The more I look at the pictures the more I wonder what that grey stuff is. Has anybody seen this on a frame before? Take a look at the edges of these pictures. I'm curious about what looks like capped honey, but is greyish in color.

Yep that's honey. When in doubt, stick your finger in it and have a taste.

Thanks NasalSponge. This is from the same nuc and was more wht I was expecting capped honey to look like. I was worried about the grey stuff. Next time I will just taste it!

I was wondering where, in your photos are you seeing "grey"?

I've looked them over several times, all I see are tan brood cappings, tan/brown comb, and tan/brown - propolis stained honey cappings.

On the first and third pictures, the top right of the frame as it's oriented in the pictures. In the second shot it's the bottom left. It looks grey striated with yellow and tan. It just looked odd compared to other capped honey I've seen. I'm glad to hear it's just propolis staining. Thanks!
