Bleach solution on old drawn comb???

Anyone spray bleach solution on comb w/good results?

What strength?

How long to dry?

How affective would this be on combs that were in medicated? would it void the ill affects on micros?

Sunbleaching combs anyone?

I had a hive die in February with solid evidence of nosema - brown spots all over, lethargic bees with distended bellies.

I removed the pollen frames and sprayed everything else with a strong bleach solution, waited a few days, then ran the frames through an extractor to get the bleach solution out (but left cappings on the capped honey). Aired the frames out for a month, then dumped in a package two weeks ago. Too early to say if there will be long-term effects, but they are doing well so far.

I need comb for expansion. I have 500+ drawn comb. Hoping to use what I can without regret.
