    Default larvae in top feeder

I opened up my top feeder today and found larvae in there on the floaters above the syrup. Is this probably fly larvae? They are about an inch long and skinny.

Is there any protein available in the feeder? If there are any dead bees or any protein substitute in the feeder you may have small hive beetle (SHB) larvae. SHBs love top feeders in warm weather.

I would empty and clean the feeder regardless of the larvae type.
