Salutations. I'm a musician in Central NJ and in a week or so I'll be picking up a 4-frame nuc colony and setting it up in a 10-frame deep hive. I've never kept bees before. I'm very excited to watch these lil buggers grow and do their thing.

I'm also a homebrewer. I make beer, but look forward to making a mead someday with backyard honey.

Yep yep. I have a couple friends who have several years experience, and they're both keeping me straight and answering the seemingly endless list of questions I have. Plus I've read "Beekeeping for Dummies" 2x already, and watched the Univ of GA "Honey Bees & Beekeeping" video on youtube twice. lol - I'm a bit obsessed.
