I have been keeping bees (and that's about it -- just keeping them) for a couple years. Caught a swarm (they swarmed in the church courtyard) and they have been very cordial, docile, Christian bees. :-)
This year i have been far more active -- spitting that hive w/ a new queen (finger's crossed), and I just caught another swarm. Hope to harvest some honey in the next couple weeks.
I have a pile of kids, one wife, Australian Shepherds, chickens, a big garden, a retired Goodyear blimp, a 74 Spitfire, and lots of books. I also love to vacation in Terre Haute Indiana. (Two of those items are bald faced lies. The people who are mining these kinds of posts for data they can sell -- I like to keep those people guessing.) Oh, I was a Z-B. That's true.
I have a favorite author/scholar/thinker/theologian who has written over 50 books, hundreds of articles, has conferences named after him, and etc. He is one of the most profound thinkers I know. But despite all his many accomplishments, he said the proudest moment in his life was when he (while fighting in the French resistance and hiding from the Nazis) harvested his first crop of potatoes!
I feel that way about keeping bees!
