Default Honey as a drawing salve?

With so many uses of products of the hive - has anyone ever used honey or propolis as a drawing salve to draw out splinters in the fingers? I've heard somewhere that it would work but thought I'd ask here.

    Anyone have experience with this?

It will act as an antibiotic and moisturize the tissue which should make it easier to remove the sliver.

Hi, this link explains how a drawing salve works. I make a slave out of minced garlic and honey, two great antibiotics there.
