Hi from the sunny coast of Northwest Florida - the Panhandle - I am a new beekeeper this year, was lucky to find a swarm, my mentor helped gather and feed till I could get my supplies and then we split the hive so, now, I'm a new beekeeper with two hives and a whole lot of questions! I have joined my local bee association which is helpful, and will be more of a reader than a poster here. I also own an operate a wildlife sanctuary which is so fitting to beekeeping as we have several butterfly habitats and teach gardening classes to the public, mostly children to get them interested in nature, our environment and "green" living.
