    Default first supers pulled today

    took off one super each from my four best hives today. frames are just the way i like 'em, fat and capped. cleaning up the honey room today, decapping and extraction planned for tomorrow.

    thanks ab. fortunately, i haven't seen too many shb this year. i'm keeping a disposable trap in every box, and have caught a few. some hives seem to be keeping them out on their own.

    Me too, squarepeg. 3 mediums off my two biggest hives. Beautiful white wax and heavy, heavy frames! I, too, will extract tomorrow. Saw no SHB while in the hives. Looks like my chickens are doing a good job!
