Brood but no honey

Hello all!
I'm fairly new to beekeeping and need to ask a question: I need to know how long it takes in a KTBH for the bees to move beyond making brood comb to making honey? I am really happy to see my queen busy at laying larva and everyone doing their jobs, however, I'm not sure how long it takes from installing the package to seeing honey produced. Right now, I have about 2-3 bars of capped and uncapped brood and another 3-4 bars of fresh comb. T.

They will build up population until they feel it's adequate and then start harvesting nectar. Every colony is different.
