    Default Greetings from the Philippines

I am actually from Western Australia but am near Dumaguete in the Philippines for a year, assisting an organisation, Grace Community Empowerment ( www.gceinternational.org )

They had raised bees here in the past intending for it to be developed into a means of livelihood support for rural tribes people but it fell into a hole and I have been asked to resurrect the program and develop a training resource to be passed on. I kept a couple of hives in Sydney many years ago - long enough to forget a lot of what I learned then, but am now getting right into this task.

One thing I've quickly realized is that most beekeepers online live where winters are really cold and that hugely impacts their whole approach, Here in the Philippines, it is always hot and there is no broodless period.

I look forward to learning all I can from anyone who wants to share their experiences and knowledge with me.

    Regards

    Roger
