There's a group on this forum called North Texas Beekeepers. There's a few guys from the metroplex as members there.
I'm about 80 miles north of you. But, If there's any way I can help, let me know.
Then there's Collin County Hobby Beekeepers assoc. They meet in McKinney at the Heard Museum.
They're a good bunch. All the way from just one hive to commercial guys.
I don't know much about Metro Beekeepers. I think they're in southern metroplex.
